Zotero citations die when exporting to Google Docs #107

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Version of OOo2GD: 3.0.0
Version of Java: Sun 1.6.0_23
Operating System: Linux Ubuntu 11.10 Ocelot 64 bit
Version of OO.org: LibreOffice 3.4.3
Is OO.org using Sun Java?: Not selected

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a .doc document with LibreOffice, like the one attached. This
document contains citation keys generated by Zotero, and an automatically
generated bibliography
2. Export to Google Docs using Ooo2gd, and converting to Google Docs format
3. Import again from Google Docs using Ooo2gd

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The new document seen in the browser shows icons telling that there are
bookmarks, and the citation keys and bibliography are still there.

After importing back to LibreOffice, the citation keys and bibliography are
still there too.

But Zotero will no longer recognise them, it treats them as plain text, which
suggests that there has been some problem in the process:

export to Google Docs -> convert format -> Import from Google Docs

This could be a limitation of the Google Docs format, maybe it's not Ooo2gd
that is changing the citation keys.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi,

I have made another test, this time using Zoho. The attached file is very
similar. It has Zotero citation keys (saved as bookmarks) and an automatically
generated bibliography.

Now all I do is upload the file to Zoho using Ooo2gd, and download it again,
without modifying anything.

Zotero doesn't recognise that there are bookmarks as citation keys any more.

Maybe this is a problem with Ooo2gd then?

Best regards,

Ramon.
