Hi, can you give precision about how 'perfect' is ?
i mean: how many time it takes to have the gps fix, outside, with a clear sky ?
(and how to have V20I)

ok, is not perfect but is more fast that v20g (I exaggerated a little).
sometimes takes 30 seconds to 3 minutes to give my location with a margin of
error of 9 to 300 meters (before of 8 to 20 minutes with v20g . depending on
whether I'm at home or outdoors. I have not taken into consideration the
weather (sorry) but I can say is that sometimes I restart to work.

Please check your gps.conf
the included /system/etc/gps.conf is not optimized.
Please see http://forum.samdroid.net/f38/gps-speedup-1262/

Even after optimizing gps.conf it takes a lot of time to get a fix.
And with gps status
(https://market.android.com/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2) the bars never
turn green.
That is...
if I have 9 satellites, it doesn't show that there actually is a fix, the
satellites keep yellow instead of turning green.
somehow my text seems a little confusing...

Ok, so... in GPS Status (better description ->
http://pt.appbrain.com/app/gps-status-toolbox/com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2)
I get:
lots of blue satellites in the beggining (has almanach)
some turn yellow as time passes (has ephemeris)
but they never turn green (used in fix)
I know that refering to a 3rd party app is not an argument, but since it just
reads the info from the gps it may lead to a better understanding of this
problem.

For me to. Position in MyTrack in 4 - 5 minutes and in others apps never show
fix only
approximate position.

Same problem here with V20G & newest openeve version:
Today it took ~25 minutes for getting a fix (clear sky). I turned the device
off and tried it once more again after several hours, result: no fix at all
within next 35 minutes..

I've been geocaching this past weekend, and I wanted to throw my phone to the
ground a couple of times...
What kind of info do we need to give?
It is slow as hell to get the satellites, plus the fix takes forever.

Just for info: I tried it now with this rom:
http://code.google.com/p/firedroidmod (also 2.3.7.) => now my gps is working
nearly perfect..
With openetna rom it didn't work at all..
