Camera does not work for 3rd party applications.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Install 3rd party camera application (tried lgCamera, Tina Timelapse, IP 
Webcam)
2. Try to start the application
3. After force closing the hanged application even the rom's own camera app 
won't work and just gives message "The application Camera 
(process.com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." 

What is the expected output? 
3rd party camera applications can be used.

What do you see instead?
3rd party camera applications are unusable.

What version of the product are you using?
1. gapps-gb-20110307-signed
2. system-gb-20120109-snapshot
3. boot-gb237-111025-224mb-r193

On what operating system?
Linux

Do you have logcat or dmesg ?
 (adb logcat -d > logcat.txt, adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt)

What version of the *Official LG* Firmware were before using Custom
firmware ?

Please provide any additional information below.

Trying to restart IP webcam after the initial crash gives complaint that camera 
is already being used by another application. So it seems the camera is not 
freed.
