What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Android Market
2. Open the physical keyboard and start to type some text
3. The first letter is remplaced by the second

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The text should appear as typed (as in 2.2 Official)

What version of the product are you using?

Openeve Alpha
On what operating system?

Do you have logcat or dmesg ?
 (adb shell logcat > logcat.txt ^C, adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt)

What version of the *Official LG* Firmware were before using Custom
firmware ?
(V20G, V20D, V15x, V16x etc. )

Please provide any additional information below.

did you use a xim or other input method ?
it is not CM7 issue I think.

I don't think this is an issue.
It's caused by a normal delay within the market application.
When you start typing, it uses the first letter as a trigger to show you the 
"search" text box. So you continue typing and of course it's the second letter 
the one to show up as first.

I will test again but I think that one of the official version I tested don't 
have this problem. I will tell wich one.

It's a little thing but it's not user friendly

input method related things is very complicated, so it is very hard to trace.

Please try to use "built-in keyboard" instead of any XIM apps.

Settings => Language & Keyboard settings => uncheck all XIM input method
like as
 1. Android keyboard (google default XIM)
 2. LG IME (LG official XIM)

Problem is fixed on my phone after installed the latest release.
