Hidden menu using OpenEve #56

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
- What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. dial 3845#*5200#

- What is the expected output?
The hidden menu should appear

- What do you see instead?
Nothing happen

- What version of the product are you using?
At the moment I have installed "boot-gb-110429-snapshot-224mb.zip"
CyanogenMod Gingerbread 2.3.3 110429 SNAPSHOT (224MB ram)

- Please provide any additional information below.
Because originally it is a GW630 and now it appears as KH5200, I have tried the
following combinations:
2945#*620#
2945#*621#
3845#*620#
3845#*621#
2945#*5200#
2945#*5201#
2945#*5220#
2945#*5221#
3845#*5200#
3845#*5201#
3845#*5220#
3845#*5221#

...but without any result...

Thanks in advance

my mobile is locked with a particular company and as far as I understood in the
hidden menu I can introduce the NCK code to unlock it...

there is no way to make custom firmware fully support all features of Official
firmware.

you can try to make a backup and flash the original official firmware
system.img/boot.img then you can use HidenMenu.apk.
It is not easy but this is the only one known way to use HiddenMenu.apk

Thanks wkp
The debug menu from cyanogenMod is interesting but it doesn't allow me to
entering the NCK code! :P
What I think I am going to do is go back to the original version and then
update back again to OpenEve! ;)

Would it be useful to you guys if I copy the HidenMenu.apk from the original
version?

...I think I will work on that this Saturday...

Yeah that would be the right way.
Try if the HidenMenu.apk works on opemEtna. I would be interested in. :)
But it could be incompatiple because if the different firmware. :(

@theo // i have already tried to make HiddenMenu.apk work but failed.

there are some kind of closed sources we can't use in the OpenEVE/OpenEtna.
these hidden APIs are integrated in "frameworks.jar" etc.

so you can't use HiddenMenu.apk/FMRadio.apk etc. with OpenEVE/OpenEtna
