Can't detect hidden Wi-fi networks #62

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.activate Wi-fi
2.Input correct details of hidden network
3.Normal networks displayed properly, but hidden network stays undetected

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ability to connect to hidden network. Instead, hidden network (though active)
stays undetected.

What version of the product are you using?
2.6.32.9-OpenEve-v1.1-SVN,
system-gb-110430-snapshot

On what operating system?
Gingerbread (2.3.3) with CyanogenMod 7 I guess

Do you have logcat or dmesg ?
 (adb shell logcat > logcat.txt ^C, adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt)

What version of the *Official LG* Firmware were before using Custom
firmware ?
(V20G, V20D, V15x, V16x etc. )
Still Custom ROM (OpenEtna)

Please provide any additional information below.
Could be my bad, just installed this and noticed the problem, might be
something i have not read.

Returning with logcat and dmesg. Logcat is long (heh, longcat) because i didn't
realise i had to manually press ctrl-c.

I have the same issue with the slightly older boot-gb-110401-up.zip and
system-gb-0330.zip. Sometimes if I reboot the phone it will connect to the
hidden network, other times not.

I wanted to try the newest version but I'm not sure if I need the 224mb or
236mb version on a gw620r?

Update: I installed system-gb-110430-snapshot.img with fastboot, then
boot-gb-110429-snapshot-236mb.zip via gb-recovery.img (did this actually
downgrade the kernel since its a day older? *confused*). I am still not able
to connect to a wireless network thats not broadcasting its ssid.
