I'm at Chile and I thing we use the same frequencies that in USA (there is no
location settings for south america). When I turn the radio on I hear some
static by a second or two and then, there is no sound.

It does NOT work for me in Canada.
Bluetooth does not work. It will come on and pair with the earpiece but all I
get is static. It is strange that it works for some.
What is the variable?

Ok this is what I did
1. replaced the file
2. checked permissions=ok
3. rebooted
4. turned on radio= heard a chhhhh
6. yes tried picking Korea as well
7. no sound
This is interesting because it also happened before.
I get a weird zzz sound when I TOUCH the screen.
I can have the radio running and go to other menus and it will zzzz when I
TOUCH the screen.
like electrical feedback.
any ideas?

I helped him solve that problem.
Famradio still does not work for me. I used the patch file above libaudio.* and
it did not work.
Any other ideas?

the patched libaudio.so don't solve the fm radio problem.
I noticed a lot of white noise when calling (like the volume is at maximum),
the volume control didn't lower the volume and the other party tells me that
ears me very lower. So i go back to the old libaudio.so.

ah ha! good to see I am not alone :)
I am ok for sound volume etc... but the fmradio just does not work for me
either.
I wonder why some of us with the same phone and same ROM have such different
results.
My phone is V10F.

My radio worked with 2.2.
I don't think this issue should be labelled as fixed.
Please consider changing the status.

Original comment by cmgonza...@gmail.com

cmgonza // you can't run lg radio app in GB.
1. lg radio app needs hidden APIs of the framework of Froyo. (closed sources)
2. different bluetooth stack use closed sources. (btld etc.)

It's working fine where also, the only thing that is something about the miui
radio app it that it turn on bluethoot, don't know why. but besides that
everything is ok.
i found this other app:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/22351-spirit-fm-radio-real-radio-tibroadcom/
That also works, but is very buggy but with more options (speaker, record) but
also it turn on bt on start.

FM radio of LG official firmware directly control wireless chipset
so it turn off blue-tooth and you can't use bluetooth while you are using radio,
but the miui radio control radio by bluetooth control interface named "hcitool"
so it turn on bluetooth.
but it is not guarantee that bluetooth headset can be used while you are using
radio for now.
