Tremded Crashes with p-g-qvm latest version only #178

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copy latest p-g-qvm into base/vm folder
2. Run server

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The server should start normally, but instead it comes up with a Microsoft
error reporting window, and tremded crashes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version from downloads section, on Windows XP.

Please provide any additional information below.
This only happens with the latest version of p-g-qvm. I tested the server
with an old version, nero's qvm and lakitu's qvm, and it worked fine. It
just seems to be this specific version.

Thanks,
Adam.

Hi,

I think that I am using tjw's tremded. The output goes up to the final time it
says:
!readconfig: loaded 6 levels, 3 admins, 0 bans, 0 commands
chat_readconfig: loaded 1 users with 0 channels
using layout "*BUILTIN*" from list ( *BUILTIN* )
2 teams with 2 entities
-----------------------------------

I can't copy and paste my exact output, as it crashes.

I had similar problems. They all stopped when I switched to the fsm-trem
tremded.
Alternatively, tremfusion's might work...

(shameless project promotion on)
i found tjw to be quite buggy (personal opinion). i am sure fsm-trem has some
bugs
too. we haven't released yet so you will have to try tremfusion unless if you or
someone else can compile a tremded for you. i cant use tjw no more since i am
pure64bit and tjw doesn't provide 64bit binary's.

your error message doesn't help too much. newer tremdeds do have some bug fixes
admittedly not much but there is some. tremfusion and fsm-trem also has voip
(shameless project promotion off)

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in replying. I coulnd't get tremfusion to work, however
for some
reason, it's just started working...

Thanks,
Adam.
