Hostmasks are useful in irc, because they allow more sophisticated banning.

If it is at all possible, adding hostmasks to trem would be quite useful.

Also, ability to ban by ip subnet, via !ban command would be useful too, 
but would need admin flag to control

Its not in a completed state and only contains linux code but should get you 
started
it also breaks ip banning cause of the way it removes the port off the ban 
check (but
easy fixable)
made for tw-qvm so manual adding will be needed and tremded part is same rev as 
tjw
895 or something should get you started ive done minor testing seems to be an 
issue
on my home server with the namelog portions (added those to make sure it 
actually
picks up ostnames) it kinda lags if it searches 4 3 or more hostnames
