Unable to invite people from within the chat. Always claims "Is it a valid email address?" Seems to work fine from the web app. #181

What email addresses were you trying to invite? Is it possible that your chat
client was turning the email addresses into links or otherwise transforming
them before sending them?

Turns out this is an issue with ichat.

When you type in an email address, iChat magically changes it to
mailto:email@address to make it clickable for the user on the other end. If I
use a client that doesn't try to automake links it works fine. I was thinking
perhaps since iChat is such a heavily used client, PartyChat could be tweaked
to catch that possibility and fix the email address before trying to add the
person?

same problem - used Google Chat instead of iChat and it works. So; it is a
problem with iChat.

Understood. This issue can be closed. We have moved to a system that works
better with our primary xmpp client.
