Un-necessary .desktop file included in /home/build in Ubuntu .deb #68

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to install the .deb on a system where root has no access to /home 
(common when /home is an NFS share)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Install fails

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
photivo_20120116hg-1dhor~natty_amd64.deb, Ubuntu

Please provide any additional information below.

the /home/buildd directory which the install attempts to write into is 
un-necessary, and should not be included in the .deb
