Cannot open tif (only thumbnail opens)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create tiff file in external editor
2. Try to open tiff file in Photivo
3. Only the associated thumbnail opens.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
That actual tiff file would open, as it does in other programs.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest (2012-06-13).  Windows 7, 64-bit.

Please provide any additional information below.
The tiff opens fine in other programs like Irfan View, FastStone Image Viewer.

When I try to open the file in GIMP, it asks which of 2 items I want to 
import...one I assume is the thumbnail and the other the full image.  It seems 
that Photivo is selecting the thumbnail.  If I select "Page 1" it opens the 
image properly.

If I select Page 2 (GIMP) it opens the thumbnail.
