Hi!
Are you perhaps planning on buildung packages for Photivo? That would be great,
since the Linux installation is a major drawback right now.
I just uploaded new Win binaries and also a source tar.bz2 (’cause it’s a
lot smaller than tar.gz). However, it’s not really a release in the usual
sense. More along the lines of: "Enough has changed to publish another round of
Windows binaries." The "released" revisions tend to be somewhat more thoroughly
tested though, so they’d be well suited for building Linux packages.

Thank you for the tar.bz2 -- that works too. :)
To be frank, yes, I'm thinking of creating an ubuntu PPA, I'll start working on
it probably this weekend if someone else doesn't beat me to it. I'll let you
know if I bump into any problems. :)

That would be very cool, looking forward to it.

Hi, I recently found Photivo, and after some problems managed to build it for
Ubuntu Maverick 64-bit. However, after a few days and some updates it was
broken. I believe that the problem relates to GraphicsMagick. I like Photivo
and I would very much appreciate an Ubuntu PPA.

Photivo should be ready to be shared via deb and with this in a PPA. We just
need someone going the last meters and willing to update regularly.
If you want to investigate the problems with Photivo on your system, please
provide more information what and how it stopped working in a new thread.
greets mike
