Feed only updates through proxy connection #139

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Disable proxy setting by selecting "None" on the Connection tab in the
Options dialog.
2. Establish a connection to the Internet, either via WiFi or through
Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) in Vista.
3. On the Channels page I select and hold on my "Seattle Weather" feed
listing to bring up the context menu, and then select "Update."
4. After waiting for the feed to update I receive the message "Seattle
Weather: Error getting file"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the feed to update without the need for a proxy server. Instead I
receive the message "Seattle Weather: Error getting file"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.4.4 on HTC Wizard running WM5

Please provide any additional information below.
That Seattle Weather feed is found at "http://weather.msn.com/RSS.aspx?
wealocations=wc:USWA0395&weadegreetype=F"
On the Connection tab under options I have set up a proxy connection for
use at work. When trying to update feeds through the proxy connection I
have no problem with any feed. When I leave work I change the Proxy
setting to "None." At locations outside of work I connect to the Internet
either through WiFi or through WMDC on my Vista home computer. In either
case, most feeds have no problems updating, either through the proxy at
work, or via wifi or WMDC outside of work. The Seattle Weather feed works
fine when going through the proxy at work.

I ran a test trying to update the feed in both pRSSreader versions 1.4.4
and 1.4.3. The update worked without a proxy in 1.4.3, but not in 1.4.4.
I've attached level 5 logs from both tests, as well as a current OPML file.

Not that I expected it to, but the latest version (1.4.5) doesn't fix this
issue. Version 1.4.3 still reads the feed, but 1.4.5 does not. In case it helps
I've attached a new log file.
