Xapian-full gem installed, but dmsf configure page says "xapian not available" #201

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Follow installation instructions
2. Install xapian-full (not mentioned in the docs, but the comments said it's 
required)
3. Go to your redmine->plugins->dmsf configure page

What is the expected output? 

Ability to configure xapian options.

What do you see instead?

Receive disabled options and message "xapian not available"

What version of the DMSF and Redmine are you using? 
DMSF: 1.2.2
Redmine: 1.3.0.devel

On what browser and operating system?

N/A
