Siemens Pocket Loox T830 - Square Screen #25

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Run on Pocket Loox T830

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Unable to see further down screen than (just above) bottom of compass so
missing distance and the four icons. No scroll bar.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0

Please provide any additional information below.

This PDA has a square shaped screen which results in almost all of the
compass showing but not the four icons along the bottom. Please can
these be added to the menu so that they can be selected even when
using this square screen.

In addition to not being able to see the icons on the main compass
screen, cannot see the Distance nor the current position; it would be
helpful if these could swap places with Altitude, Azimuth and HDOP.
The alternative of course would be a vertical scroll bar.

See attached file for screenshot.

I have the same problem with my HP iPAQ 910c. It has a landscape-mode 320x240
screen and my screen display looks like the one in the previous comment. No
icons or data showing at the bottom.
I'm surprised that the operating system doesn't automatically put a vertical scroll bar in, like happens in Internet Explorer.
I hope this can be changed - I only found 2 geocaching programs to run on the WM6.1 iPAQ 910, and they both have the same screen height problem and cut off required parts at the bottom of the display. (The other is GCZii.)
Thanks in advance for any modification, however slight, to make the program usable on devices with screen height of 240 pixels!

Doug
