Crashes on HTC Touch #35

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Hard/soft reboot HTC touch
2. Start richesse-gps
3. Set GPS to COM4, 4800bps
4. Press GPS On

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Richesse-gps crashes out. I expect it to work.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Using HTC touch, wm 6.1, ... can get other stuff too.

Please provide any additional information below.

The interesting thing is that if I've run Google Maps first (and have GPS 
enabled there -- and leave it running in the background) then starting 
richesse-gps works perfectly.  I suspect that richesse-gps is having 
trouble opening the port cleanly on the HTC Touch or something like that.  
That, or there is something funny/special with the way HTC Touch's onboard 
GPS behaves...
