GPS not working #48

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install CAB file from the downloaded RichesseGPS-2.1.zip file
2. Set the COM port to 2 (which is working with other GPS tools)
3. Set baudrate to 9600
4. Press Gps On button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to get a GPS fix in a reasonable time. However, the whole PDA will
be not responsive. It seems that the processor is working so hard that even
pressing the Windows Start button takes ages to react.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows Mobile 5 on a Mio Digiwalker P550 (PDA)

Please provide any additional information below.
Some older version (without GPX file import and geocache description) of
Richesse (downloaded from some freeware website) did work correctly.
