Mormon Helping Hands Stake Boundaries #81

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Add a layer to the map accessible to organizations whose names begin with "MHH"
(e.g. Mormon Helping Hands). This layer will contain stake and district
boundaries in the affected areas.

This is a not a critical priority, but should be lightweight.

Due to the sensitive nature of the .kmz file, it will be transmitted via other
methods.

I just imported the KMZ file to the existing map for now. Man, the Google
interface is buggy, and that KMZ file was dirty.

The push pins are all marked "$[description]".

Yeah, that is an artifact of the really ugly .kmz file I got from the church.
It has duplicates ALL OVER the place, including those ugly $[description] tags.
Do you know of a way to get rid of the import, so I can re-import a cleaned-up
version the KMZ file?

No, I don't. You may have to fix it by hand.

That's what I've been trying to do for the last 30 minutes. The Google Maps
interface is incredibly buggy. If you look at the My Map you set up, I deleted
just about all of the duplicates, but the recovery map has not yet updated.

At least the KML is imported, although I never quite got the labels fixed. Oh,
well.
