Hi,

This is a very vague problem, I am afraid.
Can you please enable the debug log and leave it running - when you get such a 
case, 
upload the log (or send it privately to me).

What is this modem you are using??

It started replying with "BOOT" and some numbers... I've never seen this 
behaviour 
before - I googled around with no meaningful results.

Hi, We are using Micromax 610U Airtel GSM USB Modem.

smsserver.conf having folling settings,

gateway.0=myModem, SerialModem
myModem.port=/dev/ttyS9
myModem.baudrate=115200
myModem.manufacturer=Micromax
myModem.model=MMX610U
myModem.protocol=PDU
myModem.inbound=yes
myModem.outbound=yes
settings.delete_after_processing=yes
settings.outbound_interval=10
settings.inbound_interval=10
