Saving settings on exit #51

What feature are you missing ? And describe the situation where this
feature will be helpful.

I use the app for reading logs from some services, everytime I open the app -
which means everyday, I need to set the encoding to UTF8 and add keyword
highlighting of word Error. It would be really helpful, if the encoding and
keyword (and probably some other settings) could be saved on exitting the app.
This would greatly increase the productivity

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Really sorry for the double post.

You can use the following trick to have the keyword highlighting to apply to
all files you open:

Apply to all works only if I already have at least one file opened with those
settings, but after starting the app it is always required to set up everything
for the first file. moreover it is not possible to set up the encoding this way.

Ok. i get it. thanks although it still would be really helpful to just have a
config file with that default stuff. It is still a great app anyways. Thanks
again. Best regards.

I think I will add a button called "Save as default" (Next to "Apply to all"),
that will automatically save to Common AppData/SnakeTail/SnakeTail.xml.

And if not possible, then tell the user to save in user-folder or somewhere
else.
