dvdauthor version .7 change for video format (NTSC vs PAL) #139

I recently updated to dvdauthor version 7 (from debianmultimedia). As
a result, the tovid dvd option begins throwing the following error:
INFO: no default video format, must explicitly specify NTSC or PAL
and when trying to build a table of contents:
ERR: no video format specified for VMGM
I found the changelog for the latest version of dvdauthor at
https://github.com/ldo/dvdauthor/blob/master/ChangeLog
It specifies the following:
"Video format no longer has hard-coded default to NTSC, unless you
invoke configure
with --enable-default-video-format=NTSC. You can also configure with
                --enable-default-video-format=PAL to default to PAL."

The latest dvdauthor uses the specifications found at:
http://create.freedesktop.org/wiki/Video_Format_Pref

Hi. Last night all was fine, and encoding and authoring in tovid GUI was
without hassle as usual, but after upgrading Ubuntu to 11.04, this has changed.
While it still encodes without error, it fails in the last part of the
authoring to DVD folder, with the message:

ERR: no video format specified for VMGM

I have tried suggestions I've found, like adding "export VIDEO_FORMAT=PAL" to
~/.bashrc (and another bashrc file buried in /etc) to no avail.

Any ideas what I can do to correct this situation? Cheers

Try current SVN. This issue should be fixed.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi. I looked around the site for a few minutes, but can't find the latest SVN
or how to go about this. Could you please point me in the right direction?
Cheers

Look under the "Subversion" section at
http://tovid.wikia.com/wiki/Installing_tovid.
