Just a small correction, this request is certainly no defect, but I just didn't
find
the option to file it under "Enhancements."

Here's a first attempt: http://portableapps.com/node/22082, though, as far as I
see
it, it still needs some work. Perhaps on of the devs. could answer this one:
Where
does transmission-remote-dotnet keep the profile files?

You can make a portable build. Follow the instruction in BuildSource wiki:
http://code.google.com/p/transmission-remote-dotnet/wiki/BuildSource
This build is using the filestorage (settings.json) to save the settings.

How about being a little more explicit in this regard? For starters, where
would I
get the source files from please? 'Been lookin all over on this webpage:
http://transmission-remote-dotnet.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TransmissionClientNew
/,
and I am not sure which ones are the source files.
Many thanks.

have a look to http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads
to build from source u need the whole TransmissionClientNew folder
one way is, to install tortoise and safe the svn locale, then open ur command
line
and switch to the folder "TransmissionClientNew". In the next step run
"%Windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\MSBuild.exe /t:Rebuild
/p:Configuration=Release /p:DefineConstants=PORTABLE" and you will find the
Portable
build in and subfolder called release.
nothing more
really simply, when you have the right codepage and the right .NET Framework.
Here i
reference to my post at the wikipage.

instead of "%Windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\MSBuild.exe /t:Rebuild
/p:Configuration=Release /p:DefineConstants=PORTABLE" use
"%Windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\MSBuild.exe /t:Rebuild
/p:Configuration=Release /p:DefineConstants=PORTABLE
TransmissionRemoteDotnet.csproj"

Someone, please build the portable version, as I'm getting confused with all

If you have some files to generate PortableApps.com installer, pls upload here,
i
will commit to subversion, and setup hudson to generate PA installer too.

See attached the PortableApps.com Installer. In order to use this one however,
the
application should be formatted in the PortableApps.com format (see here:
http://portableapps.com/development/portableapps.com_format#installer).
Many thanks!

Any news on this one please? C'mon folks, someone please build Portable
Transmission
Remote already! Or are you waiting for the new PortableApps format (i.e. v. 2)?

I'm configured my build system, to make a "portable" installer: is't using file
based settings.
You can download from here:
http://elbandi.net/transmission-remote-dotnet/
(transmission-remote-dotnet-portable_*-installer.exe)

Many thanks for the portable version! One suggestion: is it possible to make it
so that the configuration files (settings.json?) end up in a different folder
than the rest of the files?
