The canvas does not resize properly when enabling the text editor

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load umpleonline and disable the text editor. The canvas will stretch to the 
width of the screen.
2. Enable the text editor.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The text editor should reappear and the canvas should shrink, but still fill 
the right portion of the screen. The canvas shrinks to a set size, which 
doesn't fill the screen.

Additionally, disabling the diagram does not change the size of the text 
editor. Ideally, disabling the diagram would allow use of the entire width of 
the screen as a text editor.
