Questions about Data Collection #9

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I am totally lost. What data has 
been collected (Meghan Balk), what do you have from Meghan Adeline?, have we 
assigned universities to collect data for?, if not, isn't there the potential 
to be sending our survey to the same institutions multiple times?, what is the 
master list that we are to be collating to? Should we assign 2 states to each 
person in the class and they can send a survey to at least 3 institutions in 
the state (hoping that you will get at least one back)? I know that this post 
has alot of questions relating to alot of different areas/previous posts. I 
guess we need some oversight for the data committee. These are large groups and 
oversight per group seems necessary.

By the way, I have e-mailed my cousin, the librarian, and am waiting for a 
response.

to answer your questions as I see them:

1.  We have not assigned universities, because we do not yet have a list of 
state universities.  There's an open ticket for that here: 
http://code.google.com/p/unm-macroecology-2012/issues/detail?id=6.  As per 
conversation last week, i assigned this to Dan and CC'd Tracy.  Haven't heard 
back from them yet.

2.  As per my notes, you agreed to look for a "master list" of all universities 
by name and state.  I opened a ticket for that here:

Does this look correct? Maybe you can add a note to it to say that we're 
waiting for a response?

3.  There's a ticket open for the Excel spreadsheet here:

I'm changing the title and closing this out now.  Let me know if I missed 
anything!
