Has any of this work been tested on a VPCF13Z0E ??
I've been able to patch the kernel successfully, on Ubuntu Natty. This has
given me support for the ambient light sensor and the thermal profile, but I've
not been able to get the keyboard backlight, special keys or g-sensor working.
However, the ALS started giving me trouble - the left hand portion of my screen
ended up being dimmed whilst I was using the system, and when I moved my mouse
in to that area it brightened up again, only to dim the left side of the screen
again a second or two later. I've had to disable the ALS auto dimming fx now
because of this.
Also, the thermal profile seems to be only semi-working - I've used the GUI to
set the fans down to the silent profile, but this only seems to be working some
of the time.
I'm happy to test things out on my laptop if given instructions on what to do -
would like to help out where I can.
Will this patch end up in the standard linux kernel at some point?
Thanks for the work on this so far.
Ben
