RFE: ability to import videos onto Fuze from DVD iso file #43

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I am using Ubuntu Linux.

I have a number of iso files of DVDs. I would like to copy each title over
to my Sansa Fuze.

Thoggen has a great interface for ripping DVDs/isos/DVD files to Ogg
Theora files. It would be great to see a similar interface in video4fuze.

Any workaround that I can use in the meantime (for example, a way to rip
the titles from an iso to VOB files that can be imported into video4fuze)
would be appreciated.

Regards,

Aaron

I don't have a dvd reader at hand, and anyways, I find having ISO images of
video DVD is kind of weird.

I remember I used dvd::rip to rip video DVDs to avi files. Then you could feed
them to video4fuze.

The ability to directly convert from DVD is unlikely to be implemented by me,
as I lack a DVD unit... but feel free to implement it yourself :) (or anyone
else interested in it)
