1. manabarbs does not result in life deduction on tapping land

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.13.1, winxp

Manabarbs cannot be used if you use Wagic 0.13.1 without having updated to the 
latest revision. 

On revision 2614, Manabarbs just works fine.
