usability of timezone selection whe creating a new calendar #32

when you create a new calendar, you should select a timezone for the
calendar. the default is GMT -01:00. we (amsterdam) are at +01:00.

how about making the default a setting in the settings panel?

or, from a usability point of view, show the same list as is done here:
