Encoding of apostrophe (') is bleeding over into the text. #146

Version 1.0 on WordPress 3.2.1.

When I enter a title or description (probably any text field) with an 
apostrophe, the text gets saved as slash+apostrophe.  Or in other words:
  Handel's Messiah => Handel\'s Messiah

Additionally, if I make a copy of the event, the slashes grow with each copy:
  Handel\\'s Messiah
