From the log file, it appears that the ppstream server is very slow in
responding to the xbmc ppstream url request and hence leads to timeout error.
This happens even when you access to the PPstream main menu the very first time.

link = getHttpData('http://v.pps.tv/ugc/list-c30.html')
...
timeout: timed out

Subsequently, while accessing to the movie link, it encounters similar timeout
error:
getMovie(name, id, thumb)
....
timeout: timed out

Usually I also encountered the same problem when trying to access ppstream
during evening time say after 7pm when the ppstream server is heavily
overloaded. But suprise to see that your problem happen around 1pm (no sure it
is becuase of Good Friday Holiday).

The problem you observed is due to ppstream server heavily overlaoded and
failed to response to the url request. There is little ppstream plugin can do
to resolve server overloaded problem. You may want to try again to see if it
turns out better at some other day/time when the ppstream server is not
overloaded.

(Note: please also ensure you have the latest ppstream version 2.0.8 installed)

Appreciate if you keep me posted on your finding.

Hi,

Can you try to install the attached ppstream zip file, and try to capture
another log file with access to different video links. Just want to be sure if
there is no other problem.

Thanks.

Hi, my issue sounds the same, PPTV plays but PPStream exhibits the same
symptoms as above. I am a complete noob so can anybody more familiar with
python take a look at the log file and advise what I can try to resolve this.
My ppstream add-on is 2.2.7 and I have Frodo on Windows 8. Appreciate any
pointers please!
