after each SS, paint opens. make it stop

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. after each ss i take, paint opens. it didnt do this utnil  the first time i 
edited an SS with paint. i have searche but cannot figure out how to make Paint 
stop opening after each shot. i take a lot of shots and this is extremely 
annoying.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
V 2.25.1.1 beta. i requested to download the updated version, but that never 
works.

Please provide any additional information below.

I am unable to update my software to the latest version. each time i try to
update, nothing happens. there is no check box next to any of the image
editors, and there is no option to check or uncheck enable image editors
because that doesnt exist.
is there any link i can use to manually upgrade my software? the link within
the program does not work.
