@adamplouff Would love your help whenever you have some time!

The ideal way to troubleshoot this is to import one asset at a time. Some offending problems can be layer names with special characters, or weird things that AEUX doesn’t like and it stops/fails and quits before it adds it to AE.

First make a frame and make sure AEUX will export a rectangle, and also try it with an image.

Then move back to your core frame you showed and start sending over one asset at a time and see if it works or causes things to break. This will help narrow down the problem and also assist the devs in fixing that problem.

Versions (please complete the following information):

  • MacBook Pro Model: 13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
  • Browser: Chrome Version 105.0.5195.102 (Official Build) (x86_64)
  • After Effects: 22.6.0
  • Figma Desktop: 116.2.4
  • AEUX (After Effects): 0.8.2
  • AEUX (Figma): 0.8.1-b [found this weird]

I thought the figma v 0.8.1-b was me not doing the installation properly, turns out its not just from my end. Will really love if this gets fixed ASAP.

I am experiencing the same problem. I tried it on the latest versions of Mac & Windows, even reinstalled After Effects with no positive ending.

@adamplouff it would be fantastic if you could have a look at what's going on. Thank you 🙏

I uninstalled a previous version of Ae (2020) and it seems to be working fine now. Images still come into Ae in oversized and text (line height esp) still breaks.
