Why should we use jp2? #6835

Simple thing or am I missing something here.....

Why is google asking us to use second gen images when they are unsupported by a vast amounts of browsers!!!

For god sake its not even supported in chrome!!! Stop telling us what to do when its not supported.

I am all for this if its supported with most browsers or its compatible.
