RFduino eddystone-url no longer works with Physical Web #213

I deployed a number of eddystone beacons a year ago based on the RFduino example code here. These have now stopped working with the Physical Web and Nearby (Android Apps). They are still discoverable with other Beacon scanners (Locate, etc.).

I updated one of the beacons with code based on this post: https://www.mkompf.com/tech/eddystonetlm.html and it is visible again in the Physical Web.

Did something change in the Physical Web? Is the RFduino example faulty?

It is very frustrating to design a beacon that will last for 10+ years and have it fail in one.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Maybe the issue concerns https urls? - my original url was http://anthropocite.com
