This needs to be shown as a wavy river of light.
Some parts of the milky way are distinct. e.g. those that divide into two
strands.

QUESTION: Is there a particular shape that is recognized in Japan?

Kat Momoi replied:

The Emoji provided by KDDI has the starry river defined with some fading
effect. I would like to see this fading effect rather than a wide river
clearly deifned and running through the font grid.

You see some of the more typical fading river in many of these
illustrations.

Apple/Google discussed something more like line art. I think Peter Lofting took
notes.
