I pushed a major update to my font yesterday. Please, consider adding it to Google fonts.
I applied most of feedback I received from Typedrawers community and GitHub. The font got featured on Behance and received above 1300 appreciations.

I’m seriously committed to make the best modern Sans Serif font.
Thanks! We have a backlog but I do want to get to this soon! :)
Hi there. Just wanted kindly pull this issue up.
I just released v2 of the Manrope font family: https://github.com/sharanda/manrope
The update is based on the feedback I've received over the months, real projects testing: on various platform, various countries and user groups. It includes: Countless optical glyphs adjustments, much better Cyrillic, many kerning adjustments, adjusted digits shapes;
Hello again,
v3 recently released. I feel like it might be the final version.

@davelab6 is there a way to top-up priority of this issue?
Do you intend to made an italic or an oblique? And a VF version?
@thlinard I'm thinking of making a true-italics font from scratch some day. Didn't want to simply skew my font to provide more options (feels pointless), while you can use faux oblique inclination or css style, like {font-style: oblique 25deg}. VF - variable font? I guess no, don't feel I can make a good font that way.
Do you think I should?
Of course, a true italic is better and will make your font useful in more cases and scenarios.
For a variable font version… well, I'm not a Google employee, so take my advice with a pinch of salt, but, IMO, if you want your typeface to be (quickly) accepted as a Google font, make a VF version (and I saw your source file, you have already two masters for all your weights).
Yes, please I have just seen the font on https://status.im/ and it looks awesome.
+1 would love to have Manrope on google fonts! Are there issues we can work on that keep the font from being added?
please include that as a google font
@sharanda I've written you an email. I'd be happy to work with you to get Manrope up and running.

That's awesome! Seems like you haven't received my response. I've repeated it from my another email. Please check. Thanks.
@sharanda @bghryct Has anything happened to this project? If not, I would take it on.
Hi @yanone! @sharanda and I are working on it. I've just been out at Type Con all last week.
Manrope changelog:
v 4 / December 4, 2019
Hi all
How are we looking regarding this issue? Anything that I can do to help?
Cheers
Hey!
Gogogo Manrope!
@lucbas @eviL-ivan Manrope is in for review.
Family is now available on Google Fonts, https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Manrope
I have been following this issue since May 2019.
Today I finally removed .ttf, .otf
from my personal website.
Thanks.
Fantastic news! Thanks to everyone to make this happen.
Will it also be available in Google Docs?
Looking forward to this in Google Slides! Any update? It's already a Google Font but I can't seem to find it within Slides whenever I browse through the fonts list.
Hi @m4rc1e could you take a look into this issue https://github.com/sharanda/manrope/issues/44 ? Some users reported about a problem with TTF format downloaded from Google Fonts. Looks like this issue happens specifically on Windows platform, I couldn’t replicate it on Mac.
Hi @sharanda
I was able to reproduce the problem with Word 2019 for Mac (same issue as issue #2430). In the case of Manrope, the problem was resolved once I corrected the nameID 3.
Need it in gslides
Can this be added to Google Docs?
For anyone who wants to use Manrope in Google docs or slides, consider using Extensis Fonts extension as a workaround
Do you guys know Google Fonts version is broken on Mac?
I believe authors have fixed this already, Google Fonts should somehow update their version: https://yootheme.com/support/question/139342
I've just downloaded & installed https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Manrope and I'm not seeing the render error. I tested as a variable font in illustrator and indesign, as well as in textedit. I checked across chrome, firefox, safari as well, and could not replicate the error. I'm on a mac running Catalina v10.15.6.
@waterplea can you be specific about where you downloaded the fonts from, which programs are causing the errors? It is possible that this is just related to an older version of manrope that yootheme is using. I'm not familiar with yootheme and don't want to jump to hasty conclusions.
It could also be as simple as the technology displaying the fonts not being as "up to date" as the font drawings themselves. Variable fonts are drawn with overlapping outlines to preserve details in the drawings as they change. Think of the bones in a skeleton. If they were all "fused" together it would be hard for an organism to move its limbs.
I think that @laerm0 wrote a very nice explanation here: https://github.com/google/fonts/issues/2329
I did not install them, I used Google's CDN:
@import 'https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Manrope:wght@500;800&display=swap';
It looks fine on Google's page for me, just like in that thread I linked to. And just like in the comments, letter A is also displayed with those issues. Google just probably needs to update the version they host, by the looks of it, they do not have a lot of currency symbols that are present on Manrope's page so it's dated.
Hi @sharanda,
I downloaded Manrope from Google Fonts for a mac, and am confirming the problem that others are noting above. So disappointing as I have just proposed it as a big brand typeface, and may have to do the whole presentation over because of the problem. This is what I'm seeing:

Hi @charlenegladden this issue caused by Google's side, please use Manrope font from https://manropefont.com/ or https://github.com/sharanda/manrope
@bghryct @davelab6 @m4rc1e is there any proper way to report about issues like these, so it's finally fixed?
Thank you! So good to have this link, much appreciated.

Will it be added to Google Docs/Slides/Sheets? Thanks!
Yes please! Would love to have it a part of Google Docs and the rest of GSuite!

@sharanda my vote is you most definitely should. Manrope is regarded as one of the top sans serif typefaces, and in every instance that it's compared against others, its lack of italic styles is considered a big hinderance for final selection. Similarly to you, I personally dislike italic styles in sans serif typefaces, but there is relevance for the end user.
For example, I'm currently working on a client's brand identity and I'd love to use it as the body/paragraph typeface... The only dealbreaker is the lack of italics, specifically for print/offline use, documentation, etc. Do you plan on adding italics to Manrope? If so, is there an estimated release date?
@jermoldcompton I've been planning a major update on Manrope, but I don't think I'll have any time available soon... I recommend you looking at Satoshi font instead https://www.fontshare.com/fonts/satoshi

@sharanda that's great news! 😁 thanks for the recommendation as well. Looking forward to the release!
