Ligature in Space Mono #406

Open GSteu opened 7 years ago

GSteu commented 7 years ago

The character combination of f and l will be combined to a ligature breaking the monospace. I.e. the word flame uses only the space of 4 Characters

In a monospaced font for programming, I think I'd put fi and such into the dlig feature. So that they don't appear by default. I'm guessing its liga here, that's where they usually are put. liga is active by default.

@GSteu in your case, explicitly disabling liga should do the trick, if it is possible in your environment.

This is discussed at https://github.com/googlefonts/spacemono/pull/2 :)

I had the same problem. Check out this repo. It has the font working correctly. https://github.com/ToxicFrog/Ligaturizer/releases
