Comfortaa uses cursive lowercase forms for these letters. These forms are common in italic style for most languages, but are usually associated with upright styles only in Bulgaria. Some other letters that often have a distinctive form in Bulgarian do no in Comfortaa, so the typeface is an odd hybrid.
Thanks @tiroj for the analysis!
I would love to commission @alexeiva to work on this "raisin" this year and sort this out :)

Comfortaa is a hybrid-Bulgarian style, similar to Sputnik Display For me a Russian reader this style is okay as a display font, but not as a text font.
Parangon is a text hybrid-Bulgarian font lacking ascenders in к ж. For me it's an experimental font, that I wouldn't use in text.
Here is how a true Bulgarian font differs: https://www.lettersoup.de/what-shall-be-done-for-bulgarian-cyrillic-loclbgr/
Describe the bug The cyrillic characters г, д, и, й, п, т, ѝ, ӥ, ӷ are rendered incorrectly. The upper case variants don't seem to be affected. (u0433, u0434, u0438, u0439, u043F, u0442, u045D, u04E5, u04F7)
To Reproduce Use Comfortaa with mentioned cyrillic characters.
Expected behavior Characters being rendered correctly :b
Screenshots Comfortaa: And with Roboto:
Additional context Firefox, Chrome, Java AWT, it's wrong in all of those and correct with other fonts.
