OK, so this was a bit of a cluster that needed sorting out. Essentially the font is based on Noto Sans and built with AFDKO, then converted to UFO, rebuilt as a variable TTF and then had a number of tables overridden with the original tables from the otf version.

So I took the TTF binaries provided and rebuilt the sources as glyphspackage, made a number of corrections in the metadata and fixed interpolation errors, then got it building again. There's some oddities (like path direction) that I'm not sure how to address, but all the major FAILS have been resolved.

One note – I purposefully changed the name of the font from Chiron Hei HK ExtraLight to Chiron Hei HK in order to avoid the 32 character bug FAIL, but it has resulted in other fails.... If you'd rather we can return to that naming convention.

⚠️ WARN Check font contains no unreachable glyphs This font is based on Adobe's Source Han Sans, which was built with the Adobe-Japan standard in mind. However, that standard is not usable in TTF format, which means there's a number of glyphs which are non-unicode and become unreachable. I could strip these out for the file size savings, or leave them in in case someone wants to go looking for a specific glyph to include.

However, if I run "Correct Path Direction on the glyphset, it will also re-order the contours, leading to master incompatibility. We are waiting on confirmation from MS on the spotted bugs. Based on that feedback, we'll decide whether to ship the font as static.
