@rawbzz Could you PTAL when you have bandwidth?
I feel like we explored this version before...but i came back to it as I was looking at google earth and they take a similar approach. It makes it clear when they are adding a point and when it has been added.
Partially relates to https://github.com/google/ground-android/issues/2674
I really like what @jo-spek suggested in #2674 with the haptic feedback. Perhaps something like a brief message pop-up of "Point Added" for 2-5 seconds on the screen and a vibration when the point has been added would work well.
I think that the example above from @rawbzz is not quite as clear when in the field if someone is collecting data by tracking and capturing their location. If you are dropping points by scrolling around then you can quickly move to add the next point and tell if the previous point was added, but if you are using your GPS location to add points in the field then you must first move some distance before you can clearly tell if the previous point was added or not.
The problem really is that before and after adding a point, the Plus symbol doesn't change. When adding the first point, you keep seeing the orange plus with no visible change. You can actually click "Add point" three times and then "Complete". Panning to the next point and adding it, the orange Plus on white background stays exactly the same. Also, the "Add point"-button's feedback is just a very light green flash and before and after clicking it looks exactly the same. Coupled with the slow phones of some users in the field, they might not even recognize it. In the field, this problem created a lot of clutter.
Here some ideas for possible solutions:
Ideally it could be more than one of these suggested solutions.
Don't mind the "Function of the building" and "Map the corners of the building" please :D. That is just an old test survey.
