congratulations
Congratulations Ben! I'm sure the community will continue to build towards a similar solution and use GXUI as a stepping stone to that end.

Thank you for your hard work on this @ben-clayton! This was definitely one of my favorite Go projects, and I'm glad it exists.
a special shout-out to @shurcooL who made GXUI do things I still can't quite believe.
Thanks. :) From my original post there:
Currently, it is cross platform in that it will run and look/behave the same on OS X, Linux and Windows. However, with relatively little work, it seems it could be expanded to support more platforms: mobile and perhaps even web.
Keywords were "with relatively little work". Thanks for making that possible!
I have recently discovered this project and it also becomes one of my favourite. Great job!
There is one thing I would.like to asku You. Could You find some spare time to write post about 'lessons learned' from gxui development? If You would ever write this project again from scrach, what would You change? Did You consider using channels to manage events? Such feedback will be very valueable for next developers who would follow Your steps...
Thanks @ben-clayton and congratulations! :) Right now as far as I can tell, there is no other project that allows you to achieve the same look and feel across multiple operating systems and environments (apart form go-qml, but that has a dependency on QT). Has anyone come forward to continue development?
I would like to see a project to integrate gxui with shiny. Anyone's else ?
Anyone who can help on that ? i have no clues ( yet ) on go
Unfortunately due to a severe lack of spare time, I'm no longer able to maintain GXUI.
While I'd hoped to find a few spare hours here and there to fix all the issues I've been itching to fix, I'm weeks away from becoming a father for the first time. While this is exciting and terrifying in equal measures, it's also clear that I'm simply not going to find those spare cycles.
I've updated the landing page to point to other GUI Go libraries, but I'd also like to highlight the awesome work going on the shiny experimental package (proposal, project) which has some remarkably smart people working on it.
I'd like to thank those of you that have contributed to GXUI, and a special shout-out to @shurcooL who made GXUI do things I still can't quite believe.
Cheers, Ben
