[QUESTION] Chrome app deprectiation #110

Hi,

As you may know, Chrome apps are going to be progressively deprecated. Do you plan on changing it?

If yes, what would you replace it with? Chrome extension? PWA? If you are planning on using a PWA, how will you handle the 'Open on startup' behavior?

Furthermore, do you have any idea on when you will start working on this subject?

I have the same question(s). Looking around the Chromium docs, it appears that Kiosk mode will support PWAs sometime in the future [1], so that's the most likely migration path before June 2022 from what I can tell right now.

Would love an update on this question. We would love to be able to keep using this application for our Chromebooks but with the eminent depreciation of apps and no recent development on this app it's hard to justify. Any updates would be much appreciated!
