Two issues:

BSD head/tail don't support the +/- specifications. Use "-q -q" to unzip instead to remove headers and footers.
"python2" isn't guaranteed to exist. Use the current interpreter.

I'll have to test this in a few environments. I'm looking into setting up a Mac build with the new CI system.

Found a couple other minor issues, which I'll fix in a separate PR.
