Based on feedback from the team:
The space right next to the tags in the events that show the remove (x) icon, takes away too much space. This gets especially noticeable when there are multiple tags assigned to an event.

Solution:
Remove the x option from the tags in the Event view. Tags can still be removed via the Tag menu dialog on the left side of the event.
