Where to place code

I have already created my map via excel import and am wondering where I now place this code to implement the markerculsterer. In other words, when I have Developer view open, what do I place where? (All of the forums I've searched seem to assume a basic understanding of where you input this code to run it, but I am missing this piece of understanding.)
