Adding "private ArFragment fragment" turns Main activity red #18

When I add the

private ArFragment fragment

to the MainActivity.java, it turned the rest of the file red. I'll attach a screenshot to show it better. Can someone advise me on if I am doing something wrong? It would be much appreciated.
