Tim Geda 09:19 PM On the digitization, I recently did a similar project with the Red Cross on disaster response and preparedness. Have you considered using ML to automate digitization?

Tim Geda 09:45 PM On the storage limit on GEE assets, you could use COGs hosted on cloud storage

Sanjay N C 09:46 PM Can u upload to google cloud platform and inject to gee?

Vasil Yordanov 09:47 PM Thank you for the presentation, very interesting! I have a question for the practical implementation of DJI mini - what is your experience with it? The weights is good for regulations but what about not really steady windy conditions? Is the sensor good enough to produce hires ortho for the openarialmap? thank you!

匿名視聴者 09:47 PM Have you try segmentation or OBIA to identification object.. with upload your image data in GEE? because I thinks the acceracy will good..can you show the result if you already doing this work?

Tim Geda 09:53 PM These are cloud optimized geotiffs that can be linked to GEE. Finally, as a humanitarian myself, I would like to collaborate.

I have a question about the way to taking photo by drones.

You said with lighter drones (i.e. Mavic mini), we are allowed to take photos by anyone, anywhere. I now live in Japan and as far as I know, we can't use drone in the city region without permission. Is it true for using that kind of lighter drone in the city without permission to someone? If so, I will buy a new drone and want to start some researches. After taking photos, I want to share my data to DroneBird team, too.

> @Ryuichi-Takeshige Japan's aviation law is very sensitive rules. Recently, DJI MAVIC mini is U199, we called "Toy drone". If you can get private space with owner's permission, you can do.

And also, when disaster happened, we have to work detecting process for huge size of area. We are extending disaster crisis response agreements with local governments. This agreements are very important for regal activities. https://github.com/crisismappersjapan/agreement4dronebird_CMJxLGOV

@mapconcierge

Thank you very much for replying.

Japan's aviation law is very sensitive rules. Recently, DJI MAVIC mini is U199, we called "Toy drone". If you can get private space with owner's permission, you can do.

Thanks. I know the rule in Japan is very strict. I understand with lighter "Toy drone" like DJI mini, the process for taking permission may be easer than usually heavier ones.

And also, when disaster happened, we have to work detecting process for huge size of area. We are extending disaster crisis response agreements with local governments. This agreements are very important for regal activities.

OK, I understand. The agreement with local government is very important and now I understand people without appropriate agreement can't use drone freely in times of emergency.

Anyway, thank you very much for answering my question.
