It works in current stable (75), but not in Beta (76) or newest Canary (77).

Just tried it out myself on Window 10 using virtualbox.

Chrome 66 beta:

Chrome 77

I wasn't able to replicate your findings. However, since we're having issues on Linux, I totally believe there is a problem. Which version of Windows are you running?

Sorry I should specify, as it's totally related: I'm on Win 7. I indeed cannot reproduce it on Win 10 machine I have.
