The charset used to create the web version is too restrictive: it removes the ẞ present in the full version, while this character will soon be a prerequisite for Google Fonts.
Currently it is both a required and a non-required character in de_Latn.textproto, but, to quote @davelab6 (#152):
Alright, I am convinced that, if a user searches for fonts that support German, and then Roboto, Poppins, Lato etc should not come up.
